Tuesday
I didn't know that about Emma Smith. I am pretty out of the loop when it comes to church history. I am working in studying the Word right now. I figure I have 1000 years to study the history for pleasure. Right now time is limited to learn and understand the Word.
Thanks for those fun facts! I've never blogged before but I'm beginning to like the fact it didn't get deleted and more than one can access it.
So today has been a great day. I too struggle with the pain of the past and the seemingly impossible task of living and serving with joy. My past substance abuse allowed me to escape the harsh realities of life for a time. But I have a friend now. One who will never desert me. Who will always be there to help and guide me along the way.
I was hired on at pilot and start training Friday. I have went to institute afterwards (4 days a week). It was the teachings of the prophets class Tuesday and Thursday. After that i took a much needed nap and walked my friends pitbull/boxer-mix dog on three separate occasions. The apartment I'm getting is a block away from the outskirts of town and then it's just open plains. We had fun. His wife cooked some delicious steak and sweet corn for dinner.
Now I have the rest of the night to do scripture study and watch a devotional/talk. Tomorrow I have an evaluation and institute at 7pm, eternal marriages. It's a dating cost basically, which I had no clue of when I signed up. Lol it was a nice surprise that that possibility is still open to me in the game plan of life. I'm going to serve a full-time mission before I even think about that but I know that the Lord will allow my soulmate to come into my life at the right time. Everything plays out according to plan.
I'm doing president Nelson's challenge to use the topical guide to study the life of Jesus and studying the BOM. Everything I need to learn comes to me at precisely the right time. It's been an awesome journey now that I can look back on all the heartache and see how it made me a strong soul. Each day my strength and testimony in the Lord grows. 5 more days until I can take the Sacrament!
You are awesome Nate!

I am proud of you.
I sent Gayelinn a book tonight. She is so funny. She says she can't read library books while she exercises or she sweats all over them. I told her this is one she can sweat on.
I attended a lecture on Joseph Smith 2 weeks ago on Tuesday at 2pm. I have serious trust issues. I only trust the 13 or 15 apostles. But there were 400+ retired folk who attended that lecture. When I have attended in the past there were 20 or the guy before that, Jim Brickey, would have 40.
George Durant and Susan Easton Black his 2nd wife really have a following. Durant is the entertainer, laugh-getter and Susan is the fact giver and story teller. I attended my second lecture yesterday, Tuesday. Do you know those carpet covered boxes they keep on the stand so the little kids can reach the mike? Well, the building was full. People were even siting in the hall. Since it was full they started the lecture 15 minutes early! When was the last time that has ever happened? At 1:50 I noticed the people sitting in the choir seats on the stand, even behind the projection screen where they would not be able to see. There were a few extra seats up there so I trooped up the aisle with the welcomer speaking from the pulpit.
I sat on a carpeted box behind the priests bench! I suspect I could arrive at 2pm and still have my discovered seat reserved.
Next, I can't believe this is working for us. I played around with it at FamilySearch yesterday so it looks like we had a bunch of views we really didn't have.
